Unit vectors are vectors with magnitude of 1.

\vec{v} = (2 \hat{i} + 3 \hat{j} - 4 \hat{k})

m a g n i t u d e (\vec{v}) = \sqrt{2^{2} + 3^{2} + (- 4)^{2}} = \sqrt{4 + 9 + 16} = \sqrt{29}

Also, the unit vector is known as the vector with unit norm.
