Mean Absolute Error Formula

MAE=1N∑i|xi−xi^|

Pros of MAE

  1. Easy to calculate
  2. Errors are weighted on the same scale
  3. Used for training with outliers as don't give high error

Cons of MAE

  1. Not differentiable at 0.
  2. Challenging to computer Gradient
